Karamel have made the 2nd round, the final 32 ships, in E! online's "TV Top Couple 2018". We're now head to head with a pretty tough competitor: Emily and Allison "Emison" from Pretty Little Liars. Their fandom is huge, so we need to be voting a lot to make sure we get into the next round.
You simply vote: here. Scroll down to the 12th voting box, and select Kara and Mon-El. Just refresh and click "i am not a robot" to vote again, you can vote as many times as you want!
In January we got HQ shots of Chris Wood in his "Legion uniform". Many were slightly disappointed that the outfit bore little resemblance to his iconic red comic book suit the character has been wearing since his incarnation in the 1950s.
But the navy ensemble, which debuted in episode 10 of season 3 "Legion of Superheroes", will not be Mon-El's final look.
In the The CW's midseason promo there's a "blink and you'll miss it" glimpse at Mon-El donning a comic book accurate suit complete with a blue cape.
It's unclear when we'll first see him wearing it on the show, but as it featured in The CW's promotion for what's coming up this year, it's safe to assume it won't be a long wait.
Giving us even more indication it will be very soon, Chris did recently posted a selfie on Instagram where he is clearly in his Valor suit. Having only just wrapped filming on episode 3X15 of Supergirl, we will be hoping to see the suit debut then!
How Mon-El comes by this suit, and why he is currently in a Navy two piece outfit, is still yet to be determined. Some think perhaps Winn gave him the suit he had been working on for most of season 2, others think its similarity to his Legion uniform indicates Mon-El had the suit with him in the 31st century. Either way, it's nice to finally see it!
For years now Chris Wood has been a loud advocate for reducing the stigma around mental illness. At SDCC he mentioned that he was working on a campaign called "IDONTMIND" and that he was excited to launch it. Well today is the day of it's launch, and we're here to tell you all about it.
IDONTMIND is a campaign designed to spread awareness on mental illness, give people an open place to talk about issues, as well as raising money for NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness). Mental illness doesn't need to be taboo, and "idontmind" is here to normalize open discussion on it.
The campaign launched with a website - idontmind.com, a photo shoot featuring the likes of Melissa Benoist and Jeremy Jordan, and an apparel campaign where 100% of proceeds go to NAMI.
The apparel is being sold as a represent campaign and is only available for 2 weeks (ends 10/14/17). All items are $25.00 (US). There are 4 items available - a dad hat and a t-shirt of 3 varying colour options: white, black and gray. Chris said in an interview with Damian Holbrook of TVInsider that the slogan is intentionally subtle:
" we have found a phrase that you might see on a hat anyway, because people wear shirts that say nothing phrases all the time, and by having a meaning behind it, the hope is that something simple like "Hey, I like your shirt, what does it mean?" people can then say "Oh, it's actually a mental health awareness campaign." "
Chris launched IDontMind in a live stream on Instagram he'd announced a few days previously. The live stream was due to start at 10am on Chris' own account - but hilariously he accidentally streamed it from the IDM Instagram account and didn't realise for a whole 7 minutes. Chris eventually did move onto his main account - where thousands of fans were waiting. He answered tons of fan questions, from Supergirl gag reels to body lotion, and then he talked in detail about IDontMind, his personal experience's with mental health as well as bullying. You can watch the full livestream here if you missed it:
Melissa also makes a surprise appearance! In a hilarious skit, Chris leaves the frame and Melissa comes in pretending to be Chris. She mimes some rehearsed lines that Chris is saying (along the lines of "my beard is itchy" and "I'll go out on my motorbike") while donning a white IDontMind tee and hat. Then the 2 proceed to swap, with Chris miming Melissa's funny commentary. It's the dorkiest thing you will ever watch, and its amazing. Melwood then proceed to end the live stream together, with Melissa revealing that she suffers with depression and anxiety. Not to be outshone, Drift also makes an appearance!
Other celebrities have already joined in with the campaign. Director Kevin Smith lent his support with a tweet, and Danielle Panabaker (Caitlin - The Flash) reposted Chris' instagram, David Harewood (J'onn J'onnz -Supergirl) posted his own photo of him in a black top, and Grant Gustin (Barry Allen - The Flash) posted a long, heartfelt message and a series of pictures on Instagram about IDONTMIND.
This is clearly is campaign that means a lot to Chris, and Melissa, so we urge you to use the "#IDONTMIND" hashtag on Tumblr, Twitter and Instagram and to also purchase some merchandise from the represent campaign if you can. Your mind matters. Talk about it.
Melissa and Chris are both set to be on the Supergirl SDCC panel on Saturday, for which we are so excited about! And they set off with the rest of the cast (and a few of Riverdale’s too) from Vancouver on Friday.
Videos of the pair can be seen on the Instagram stories of Mehcad Brook’s and Camilla Mendes (where they’re goofing around and singing “Sweet Caroline” very loudly) but here are the stills we’ve got so far:
1. David posted this pre flight pic on his Instagram, which Melissa later reposted
2. Yet another pre flight post
3. Stills of Melwood messing around in the background of Mehcad's Instagram Story
4. Mehcad took some shots of Chris pulling funny faces
5. Camilla took one of plane, where you can see Melwood is sat next to one another
6. Jeremy posted a snap of the cast(s), again with melwood sat next to each other
7. Chris and Melissa sharing food
8. The Supergirl cast at the WB's party
9. Melwood leaving the WB's party
10. More of them leaving
As we already know, Melissa and Chris are quite the adventurers. From Cancun to huge summer road trips, they’ve been known to travel around together. And it looks like they’re on another trip!
On Tuesday Melissa posted 2 Instagrams.
The first was a post of a pair of Kayaks overlooking a stunning Vancouver lake, which Chris liked.
The second was a landscape picture of a beautiful wood, complete with another beautiful Wood at the right hand side.
Yes, that is a Christopher Charles Wood shirtless on a kayak and hike with Melissa Marie Benoist, we’re freaking out too dw.
We got our hands on 25 exclusive on set photos taken of Melissa while she was shooting episode 1 of the 3rd season on Sunday. Taken by “Paparazzi Ken” himself (@Pursuit23)!
As we reported on Wednesday – the yearly SDCC TV Guide released it’s covers – one featuring miss Melissa Benoist for the third time in a row. Well as the magazine has now hit the shelves and Karamel @xmultistan got her hands on one, and it’s got some great stuff for our ship!
The first bit of exciting news came in the form of what Supergirl head producer Andrew Kreisberg had to say about Mon-El’s future on Supergirl:
“ where exactly did that vortex take Mon-El (Chris Wood)?
Kreisberg assures us Wood’s hot hero will be back in Season 3 but is mum on his current locale. “Where he went and how he returns is one of the central mysteries at the start of the season” he explains. “The more astute comic book fans may have a semi-good guess as to where he went”. ”
So this is obviously exciting for a few reasons: 1. it’s the absolute definite answer that Mon will be returning 2. Mon-El’s character won’t just be in S3 but will have an important part in season 3A’s plot and 3. That the mystery of where he currently is won’t take us too long to resolve, meaning he’ll hopefully be back in National City before the mid-season.
The next bit of content came in the form of 2 previously unseen Karamel shots from their goodbye scene in 2X22. The first looks similar to the very scene we cried at in the finale, but from a slightly different angle, and the other one is a shot of Kara holding Mon-el (We can’t actually tell if its Karamel or Melwood as they don’t appear to be filming at that moment, but either way it’s precious)
The Supergirl spread has some other really awesome stuff in it, like interviews with the female cast members, including Melissa, and some cute BTS photos of Melissa with Tyler and Katie.

TV Guide released their 4 comic con covers on Wednesday and Melissa got her own, again. however, unlike previous years, Supergirl is the only DCTV show to not share a cover with anyone else. Usually The Flash and Arrow get their own covers too, but this year they share one with new CW hero Black Lightning, the other 2 covers featuring Supernatural and Riverdale respectfully.
Melissa shared her cover on her Instagram @MelissaBenoist. The photo on the front is not a Season 3 promo shot - as it was featured on the poster for episode 2X11 - Martian Chronicles.
Supergirl has had it's own cover since the show's inception, which one out of the 3 is your favourite?
After 2X22 we were all scared about the future of our favourite Daxamite, Mon-El. We assumed (with the help of reliable sources and encouraging words from the cast and producers) that he’d return for season 3. But we’re still not sure when that will be and because of this we didn’t know whether Chris would be in attendance at comic con.
Well we had no reason to be worried. The press who are attending comic con got an email confirming the panel line up – and guess who’s name is there!
Yes, Chris Wood will be in interviews and on the panel at comic con alongside Melissa, Mehcad, Chyler, David, Jeremy and new S3 season regulars Katie McGrath and Odette Annable.
The Panel will be hosted by Leanne Aguliera who has interviewed Melwood before! Watch that fun interview here while we wait for an awesome 2017 SDCC!
Wave 1 voting ended successfully, Chris and Melissa both filled up their respective categories and got a huge number of rt’s!
Nominees for the next stage of voting were revealed yesterday and Karamel got the 2 nominations we’d hope they would! Both #ChoiceLiplock and #ChoiceTVShip!
We face stiff competition in both categories; with huge ships from Sydia, Emison and Bellarke to contend with in #ChoiceTVShip to WonderTrev and CaptainSwan as just two of our rivals in #ChoiceLiplock.
Voting opened yesterday at 9pm PST. If you’re in the USA you can vote online at teenchoice.com – you are allowed a maximum of 10 votes a day – and for international Karamels you can vote by tweeting yourself and retweeting the official karamel tweets from the TCA verified account. One category per tweet and it must have the category tag, and Chris and Melissa’s accounts attached.
The yearly MTV Teen Choice Awards are here and it’s time to get voting for nominees!
The ship is a contender for 2 categories - #ChoiceTVShip and #ChoiceLiplock. Make sure you tweet these tags (alone with the #TeenChoice hashtag) and state that you vote for Kara and Mon-El/Karamel like the tweet below:
Votes are only counted if you’ve tagged one category, so don’t combine the tags, they must be separate tweets! You can vote as many times as you like, and RT’s also count!
Melissa and Chris are also contenders for separate awards: #ChoiceScifiTVActress and #ChoiceScifiTVActor so make sure you vote for them here too! As well as the show #ChoiceTVshow
As we reported yesterday, the sold out Heroes Vs Villains Fan Fest in London is happening next weekend. With Melissa and Chris both in attendance we’ve all been waiting patiently for the weekend schedule to find out if they would be doing any panels.
Well we got lucky! They’ll both be doing the Supergirl panel on the Saturday (27th) alongside Italia Ricci (Siobhan Smythe/Silver Banshee) and Mehcad Brooks (James Olsen). It takes place at 4 PM UK time; one of us will be there trying to get some clips/BTS stuff, while the other will be updating you all on what's happening right here!
Let’s hope for plenty of cute Melwood moments and some information on what’s next for Karamel!
Not going? Be sure to send your Karamel questions for the panel to Spoiler TV here:
With big clues dropped about an emotional final episode, his growth into the hero he wanted to be and with the mentions of "Roe-mayo" and Juliet, Karamel shippers would be forgiven for feeling a little anxious about Mon-El's fate. However, the Supergirl fall synopsis should put us all at ease.
The season synopsis' tell you little to nothing about the plot points of the future series, but do indicate the direction for the shows, as well as which actors may play a pivotol role.
Both Calista Flockhart and Chris were mentioned - which confirms their involvement in next season. It's also worth noting that Floriana Lima's (Maggie Sawyer) name is absent from the description, and that Winn is referred to as Kara's "best friend" while Lena strangely lacks an introduction:
"Supergirl is an action-adventure drama based on the DC character Kara Zor-El, (Melissa Benoist) Superman’s (Kal-El) cousin who, after 12 years of keeping her powers a secret on Earth, decides to finally embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be. Twelve-year-old Kara escaped the doomed planet Krypton with her parents’ help at the same time as the infant Kal-El. Protected and raised on Earth by her foster family, the Danvers, Kara grew up in the shadow of her foster sister, Alex (Chyler Leigh), and learned to conceal the phenomenal powers she shares with her famous cousin in order to keep her identity a secret. Years later, Kara was living in National City and still concealing her powers, when a plane crash threatened Alex’s life and Kara took to the sky to save her. Now, Kara balances her work as a reporter for CatCo Worldwide Media with her work for the Department of Extra-Normal Operations (DEO), a super-secret government organization whose mission is to keep National City and the Earth safe from sinister threats. At the DEO, Kara works for J’onn J’onzz (David Harewood), the Martian Manhunter, and alongside her sister, Alex, and best friend, Winn Schott (Jeremy Jordan). Also in Kara’s life are media mogul Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart), James Olsen (Mehcad Brooks), a photo journalist who moonlights as Guardian, a masked vigilante, Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath), and Mon-El of Daxam (Chris Wood), whose planet was ravaged by Krypton’s destruction. As Kara struggles to navigate her relationships and her burgeoning life as a reporter, her heart soars as she takes to the skies as Supergirl to fight crime. Based on characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, SUPERGIRL is from Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti (‘The Flash,’ ‘Arrow’), Andrew Kreisberg (‘The Flash,’ ‘Arrow’), Sarah Schechter (‘Arrow,’ ‘The Flash’), Robert Rovner (‘Private Practice,’ ‘Dallas’) and Jessica Queller (‘Gilmore Girls,’ ‘Gossip Girl,’ ‘Felicity’)."

The sold out Heroes Vs Villains Fan Fest in London is less than a week away. Both Melissa and Chris will, of course, be in attendance and all of their individual photo ops are now sold out!
We don’t know if the pair will be doing any panels, although we assume so, but we’ll update you when HVFF do eventually release the convention schedule. Autos for the both are also available.
We know of many Karamel shippers going (including one of us!) and we’re so excited for everyone! We hope all in attendance are positive, kind and considerate to the both of them.
We’ll share any Kara, Mon-el and Karamel information we get from the convention right here!
Melissa has also been announced as a guest at the Nashville HVFF con for July 8th & 9th, and tickets are available now if you’re interested in going.
If you’re going to HVFF in either Nashville or London tell us! Maybe even write an article about your experience. Just direct message us @KaraAndMonElWeb
Supergirl dropped a new promo for the finale - "Nevertheless she persisted" - and our Karamel hearts are screaming
First of all Kara lists what she loves about her life. "family, friends, job I love, my life as a hero.... Mon-El". She specifically mentions him as a part of what she wants to "keep" - oh, she's so in love.
Then we get 2 shots of them in bed/waking up together - FINALLY.
The first shows them lying in bed together, her arms around him
The second is a stunning close up of a smiling Mon-El, presumably looking at Kara
He did say "I would like to wake up next to you" - and now he gets to every day.
Are you freaking out too?! The most anticipated Karamel scene is actually happening!!! Comment below or tweet us @KaraAndMonElWeb
Today was the day of the much anticipated CW upfronts. Melissa was the only Supergirl cast member in attendance – and looked beautiful in her red ensemble, which she matched with a red lip, and she also debuted her new bangs.
As upfronts are to announce next season plans and scheduling most interviews will be stalled until after the season finale airs. However Melissa did do a live interview with Tiffany Smith, in which she talked about a range of things from working with incredible guest stars like Brenda Strong, Lynda Carter and Teri Hatcher – who’s character she called “the most evil mother in law that ever was” – to, of course Chris and Karamel.
Tiffany tried to be coy by asking what it was like to work with “Mon-El”, but Melissa didn’t seem to mind addressing the Chris question directly –
“like I said, the entire cast we’re so close and like a family – Chris especially brings so much light and humour and joy to the set”
Melissa then went on to talk about how she feels about Kara and Mon-El’s relationship –
“that relationship [Karamel] especially, I don’t think Kara’s ever felt about anyone like that before. So it’s really important, I think, as her advancement as a woman - and her growth, to try and balance that with being a superhero and her career and following her heart”
We'll keep you updated on any new info from upfronts as it comes in!

The Karamel fandom have been pretty successful with trends this season. Now we're calling on you to get this one trending too!
The trend is "We Love Mon-El", and it's starting 3 hours before the episode starts. Try not to trend anything else on the Monday - it might harm the success of this one.
It's pretty certain that this will be a big episode for Mon-El, so showing our love for his character is a great idea!
After Season 2 wrapped we were all pretty anxious about the lack of content to keep us interested during the hiatus. However, we shouldn’t have been, not only did they very publicly attend an LA Dodgers game together but Melissa and Chris have now remembered they have Instagram and have been documenting their 3,000 mile road trip on an enormous Harley Davidson (which Chris makes sure we can’t mistake for anything else by tagging them) with a few posts – and in the process making their relationship Instagram official.
The first post actually came from one of Melissa’s Waco co-stars and is Melwood happy at dinner in New Mexico (where the short series is currently being filmed):
After visiting the Echo Amphitheatre in New Mexico they headed to the Gran Canyon and Antelope Canyon, both in Arizona. Melissa first posting a picture of Chris’ back and then a selfie of sorts with him at the Lower Antelope canyon.
Chris then posted a picture of 3 abandoned houses and his girlfriend – making sure we knew who the figure was by not only tagging her but captioning the photo with the heart eyes emoji.
He surprised us all again by uploading (what’s assumed to be) an old photo of Farley and Drift adorably cuddled up in front of the fire together – I don’t know about you, but we're fully on team #Darley and hope we get more “melwoof” content soon.
After Monday night’s episode Mel decided to give us all another heart attack by posting a shot of her and Chris’ shadows on their motorbike, and (not to be outdone by her boyfriend’s emoji use) she made sure to put a heart in the caption.
Finally, Chris uploaded 2 photos of his bike. The first, a beautiful shot of him on it looking out at the coast (which we can only assume was taken by Mel) - which she then liked. The caption “3,000 miles, 5 states” confirmed the speculation that they were actually road tripping. The second was a clearer shot of the bike.
We know Melissa is off to The CW upfronts in New York now, so we don’t expect any more Melwood content untill HVFF, London on the 26th. But we hope they had an amazing time, it certainly looks like they did.

The stills for 2X22 got released and it’s looking like more angst for Karamel. Fans are speculating that Mon will end the episode in the Phantom Zone, and this emotional still isn’t exactly helping to suppress those rumours:
Our theory on the image:
We know from the episode promo that Kara is going to duel with Rhea; risking her life for humanity. We also know that Mon-El thinks this is a terrible idea… which (not to be too much like J’onn) he’s probably right about. Rhea doesn’t exactly have a shortage of kryptonite and is an excellent fighter.
We’ve also seen on set photos of Melwood filming on a roof top (including this instagram post by Teri Hatcher - which is probably the closest we'll get to the allusive "melwood selfie" for a while).
In those location shots they’re both in the same outfits as the still. Granted they are their work uniforms so this could mean very little – but we’ve got to work with what we’ve got guys, so bear with us. Piecing all of this together, the still could very likely be Mon-El either attempting to stop Kara from 1. Duelling with Rhea or 2. Killing her. That, or it could be him saying goodbye and making “the ultimate sacrifice” (as paparazzi Ken put it). This sacrifice might be leaving for Daxam, which parallels 2X17 in which we got a very similar still, or letting his mother kill him – and as we know how she treated her husband, wouldn’t be something we’d put past her.
What do you think about the still? Tell us your theories in the comment section below, or reply to us on twitter at @KaraAndMonelWeb
